REFUNDS & DIGITAL PRODUCT

Last updated September 2026.

The short version

Your game is written from scratch, about your people, using the answers you gave us. Nobody else can use it, so once we have started making it we generally can't offer a refund just because you changed your mind.

If something is actually wrong - it won't download, the files are broken, you didn't get what we described - that is a completely different situation. Email support@youwouldntgetit.com and we will fix it or refund you.

Before you pay

  • - This is a digital product. You get printable PDF files to print at home. No physical cards are posted to you.
  • - You see real cards from your own game, free, before you are asked to pay anything.
  • - You can edit or rewrite preview cards before you buy.
  • - The price and the exact number of cards are shown before checkout.

The free preview is the point. It exists so you can decide whether the game is any good before money is involved, rather than afterwards.

Change of mind

Once your full game has started generating, it has been made specifically for you and we generally do not offer change-of-mind refunds. That includes deciding you would rather have picked a different tone, a different occasion, or different add-ons.

If you have paid but your game has not started generating yet, get in touch - there is usually no reason not to refund you.

Your rights are not affected

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under any consumer protection law that applies where you live, that cannot lawfully be excluded.

In plain English: a policy on a web page cannot take away rights the law gives you. If the product is faulty, materially incomplete, not what was described, or you cannot access it, you are entitled to a remedy and we will provide one - a repair, a replacement, or a refund, depending on what has gone wrong.

When you should definitely contact us

  • - You paid and your game failed to generate.
  • - Your download will not start, or the PDF will not open.
  • - You received fewer cards than you paid for.
  • - You were charged twice, or charged an amount you did not expect.
  • - The files are corrupted, unreadable, or will not print.
  • - Something in the game is genuinely not what the site said you would get.

Include the payment reference shown on your download page. It is the fastest way for us to find your order, and it is the only identifier we keep.

What we can and cannot recover

This is worth being straight about, because it is unusual: there is no account, no password and no emailed download link. Your answers live in your own browser, which is what keeps them private - and it is also the limit on what we can do for you afterwards.

  • - Your game is built and downloaded in the browser you paid in. Download your PDFs before you close the tab.
  • - If the build fails after you have paid, the page retries without charging you again. Your payment and your answers are both kept.
  • - If you come back later in the same browser, within 30 days, the page can rebuild your game from your saved answers. The cards will be newly written, so they will not be identical to the ones you saw.
  • - If you clear your browsing data, switch device, or leave it longer than 30 days, we cannot rebuild your game - your answers only ever lived in your browser. Email support with your payment reference and we will sort it out.

Drafts are cleared automatically after 30 days of not being touched.

Not liking a card

It is a comedy product, written by a machine, about people it has never met. Some cards will land better than others - that is why the printed rules tell you to bin any card that hits wrong and draw another.

A card you find unfunny is not the same as a faulty product, and we will not normally refund on that basis alone. But if a game has come out genuinely unusable, or something in it is wrong in a way that matters, tell us. We would rather know.

How to ask

Email support@youwouldntgetit.com with your payment reference and a sentence about what went wrong. We will reply to the same address.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. How long it takes to appear is up to your bank, not us - usually a few business days.
